Det är förstås väldigt kul att boken har uppskattats av så många människor från olika delar av världen. Boken innehåller många inspirerande övningar för att uppleva orientering som en rolig och stimulerande aktivitet. Innehållet i boken kan naturligtvis med fördel användas både i orienteringsklubbens ungdomsverksamhet och i skolans undervisning.

Boken är hittills översatt till 19 språk. Under vintern kommer den också att finnas i tre varianter på tyska. De nationella orienteringsförbunden i Tyskland, Österrike och Schweiz har samarbetat med att översätta boken till tre olika tyska versioner. Dessutom hoppas vi att under maj månad lansera en ny kinesisk version av boken till skolorna i Kina.

It is incredibly fun that the book has been appreciated by so many from different parts of the world. The book contains many inspiring exercises to experience orienteering as a fun and stimulating activity. The content of the book can of course be used to advantage both in the orienteering club's youth activities and in the school's education. I hope that even more teachers, instructors and coaches will be enthusiastic about using this book to teach young people more about how to orientate in both known and unknown terrain. 

The book has so far been translated into 19 languages. During the winter, it will also be available in three version in German. The national orienteering federations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have collaborated to translate the book into three different German versions. In addition, we hope to launch a new Chinese version of the book to schools in China in May 2021.

Updated version of “Cool, Awesome and Educational”; Orienteering at school for ages 6-15

For two years ago I got a lot of requests from many people to put Part 1 and Part 2 together into one book. The 84-pages book has now extended to 88 pages with more exercises regarding Maze Orienteering but the biggest news is the new compass from Str8.

Together with Warren Key from Australia we have develop a new compass for beginners and students. The compass, “Str8 WOD” has both a rotatable compass house and the needle is surprisingly stable. The compass is therefore also useful for Sprint Orienteering, Ski Orienteering and MTB Orienteering.

I hope the book contains many inspirational exercises to make orienteering and navigation as a fun and interesting experience at school. I hope many teachers, instructors and youth coaches are delighted to use this book to teach the students in orienteering and navigation skills.
