Yesterday, I had the honor to receive a award from the Prince Bertil and Princess Lilian Sports Foundation. The award ceremony took place at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, with Prince Carl Philip as host. I received this award for my work on the project "Sweden-China Orienteering" which aims to, among other things, get a World Orienteering Championships to China in near future.

During four days in Hong Kong just before Christmas and a week-end in Kemer (Turkey) after Christmas I perform an Elite Coaching Clinic for national coaches from Asia (HK, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Macou) and for coaches in Turkey. The lessons I perform about were both in classroom and outdoor and items were as follow:  

  • Strategy for success, dare to be best
  • The demands of orienteering and technical performance
  • Sprint and sprint relay, technical discussion
  • Sprint test with SportIdent and treadmill test
  • Physiological and psychological factors
  • Physical training in sprint, treadmill test
  • Personal Coaching and analysis of competition
  • Selection, planning of training camps etc
